Periodontal Laser Therapy Provides a Painless, Non-surgical and Effective Way to Treat Gum Disease

If you have red, swollen or bleeding gums, persistent bad breath or tooth sensitivity, you may have some form of periodontal disease. It is a bacterial infection in the gums. In healthy gums, shallow pockets exist where the teeth meet the gums. When gum disease occurs, these pockets deepen, allowing the accumulation of harmful bacteria to increase gum inflammation and eventual bone or tooth loss.

We generally use traditional tools to remove the tartar from the roots, enabling the gum tissue to heal and reattach to the roots. Laser Periodontal Therapy is a new procedure to treat gum disease without cutting your gums and using stitches.
